This website was established to develop a web-based collaborative platform for creating a global checklist of bees. This checklist is intended to be developed and informed by taxonomic experts. Many experts have knowledge and source data files representing regional or sub-taxonomic components of a global list. We intend to explore the technical and sociological challenges that face our ambition of creating, and maintaining an up-to-date, synonymized and global taxonomic checklist.
